In a village in the Thana Nibohra area of Agra, a 13-year-old uncle tried to rape his 4-year-old niece. When she resisted, he strangled her and then killed her by hitting her with a brick. The accused went to his maternal grandmother’s house on the second day of the incident.
The police arrested the accused and solved the murder case on Thursday. On solving the case, DCP East Zone Atul Sharma has announced a reward of Rs 20,000 to the team.
ACP Fatehabad Amardeep Lal said that on May 28, a 4-year-old girl was found injured in a millet field in a village in Thana Nibohra area. She died while being taken to the hospital. The deceased’s father had filed a murder case against the farm owner. In the police investigation, the name of the deceased’s 13-year-old uncle came to light.
The ACP said that on the day of the murder, some people had seen the deceased going to the field with this teenager. Later, the villagers also saw the accused returning home, drenched in sweat. He fled to his maternal grandmother’s house on the second day of the incident. He was arrested from his house on Thursday morning. The accused is a class 7 student and is the uncle of the deceased.
On interrogation, he told that the girl used to go with him for tuition every day. On the day of the incident, he took the girl to a millet field on the pretext of feeding her melon. He tried to rape her there. When the girl resisted, he strangled her in anger. Then he hit her head several times with a brick lying there.
